The eTwinning project "CLIL - IT'S EASY!" was a great adventure for me and my students, and also the whole team of wonderful teacher. We made it through pandemic, distant learning at our schools, and uncertaintities and cruelties of war in Ukraine. Fortunately, our Ukrainian friends made it :) After outbreak of war, we agreed to wait for them. Then continued our classes as soon as the Internet connection made it possible. With some classes postponed because of bomb alarms, it was a great relief we achieve it.
Seven of my Polish students started project and four of them actively participated through the project. It was a challenge! For me as a their teacher it was amazing to observe their growing self-confidence and courage to express themselves, even in those who did not last to the end.
It was fun, but through that fun students learnt a lot. Ukrainian and Turkish students took part in the project with eagerness. It was really fascinating to have lessons for foreign students when we could communicate only in English, which is not our native language. We achieved our aims of teaching and learning a good deal. We felt what it means to have an international project with different cultures, languages and religions meeting each other to learn and develop what is common - knowledge about the world.
Other teachers are my heroes. They worked so hard and with efficiency I would like to achieve some day.
I am so thankful for this great and unique experience 👍
